The Open Circulation Edition is a limited version of Xandros Desktop OS that can be download at no charge and freely distributed to others. It is strictly for non-commercial use, and no e-mail installation support is included. It includes all the easy-to-use features of the Xandros Desktop OS Standard, Deluxe and Business editions, including four-click install with automatic disk partitioning, industry-leading hardware detection and configuration, seamless file and print sharing on Windows networks, and drag-and-drop CD burning in Xandros File Manager.

Linux厂商Xandros在一年半努力之后推出了Xandros 4.0桌面版，这款软件可以读取NTFS，可以迁移视窗个人数据，也可以运行视窗软件。媒体称之为“最像视窗”的Linux桌面软件。　　
这款操作系统包括了Pargon软件公司的NTFS For Linux，可以让用户随意访问微软NTFS文件系统中的数据。因此，用户可以在现有的视窗系统上加装一个操作系统，而无需担心原有数据无法访问。
　　 此外，Xandros 4.0也囊括了CodeWeavers公司的CrossOver Office软件。这是一个系统模拟软件，支持用户在Linux环境下运行视窗应用软件。当然，用户可以使用另外一个名叫“Progression Desktop”的组件轻松地从视窗迁移各种数据，包括邮件、照片。
